After a hailstorm some vehicles are lightly damaged and can be repaired using the PDR technique. More seriously damaged vehicles can be partially restored using a method called "push to paint." This is an alternative technique allowing partial repair of certain vehicle parts using the same PDR technology.

"Push to paint" is a preparation method for painting. The metal is "pushed" back to its original position, which helps the painter save time and materials (filler, thinners, paint). The advantages for the workshop are saved costs, materials, and time in preparing the part for painting.
